What is Wingio?

Wingio is a parental control solution that manages screen time, location, safe browsing etc. All social media and browsers are blocked by default.

How long does shipping take?

Average shipping time is 2-3 days. Shipping is free.

What operating system runs on Wingio Phone?

Currently, only Android OS is supported. iOS support will be launched soon.

What phone models are available for purchase?

All available phone models are listed on our webshop. If you need a specific model that is not listed, you can request it from us.

Can kids have access to browsers or social media?

There are no social media apps or browsers on the device. Parents can add required apps on a need basis from the parental app and restrict the usage time.

Will my family link child email work?

Family link email wont work on google apps. Third party email clients can be installed and family link email can be setup.

Does parental control function in offline mode?

Yes, parental controls such as screen time and restrictions will work in offline mode. Changes to the screen times will not be possible remotely via parental portals.

How can I manage screen time?

Parents can log in to the parental portal or app. Screen time options will be available to manage.

Can I locate my child?

Yes, the last known location is displayed on the Parental App.

My phone is locked. How can I unlock it?

First, log in to the parental portal and check whether Sleep Mode is enabled.

If Sleep Mode is enabled, disable it to unlock your phone.

My phone is locked and cannot connect to the internet.

Reboot the phone by holding the Volume Down button and the Power button together.

Wait for the boot process to complete.

A Wi-Fi pop-up will appear—enter the new SSID and password to connect.

Wait for the phone to sync all policies.

Can I install/uninstall apps?

Parents can install and uninstall apps remotely through the parental control portal. Kids cannot install or uninstall apps on their own.

Can I set a usage limit of a particular app?

Yes, parents can set daily usage limits for individual apps through the parental control portal. Once the limit is reached, the app will be blocked until the next day.

Can I set limit for a group of apps?

Yes, you can create app categories (e.g., Games, Social Media, Learning) and set collective usage limits for all apps within a category.

How can I rate app other than play store?

The Kid First Phone allows parents to rate apps within the parental control portal. This helps in monitoring and approving suitable apps for kids.

How kids rate an application?

Kids can provide feedback on apps through the device interface, but parental approval is required before any changes take effect.

How can I see weekly daily app usage by kids?

Parents can view detailed reports of their child’s app usage, including daily and weekly breakdowns, via the parental control portal.

Can I block android settings?

Yes, parents can restrict access to Android system settings, preventing kids from making unauthorized changes to the device.

How I enable safe browsing for kids?

Safe browsing can be enabled through the parental app/portal, which blocks access to inappropriate websites and ensures a child-friendly online experience.

Does the Wingio Phone work with co-parents and/or dual households?

Yes, the Wingio supports co-parenting and dual households. Multiple parents or guardians can have access to the parental control app/portal, allowing them to monitor and manage the child’s device settings from different locations. Each parent can have their own login credentials and set specific rules, ensuring a seamless experience across both households.
